Toronto EcoAdventures was founded in 2017 when Javier Mendoza (owner & lead guide) decided to follow his dream of sharing his enthusiasm for outdoor adventure and nature appreciation!
With over a decade of hospitality experience, the transition to hosting fun, safe and social road trips in Ontario wasn’t a difficult one, and he’s thrilled to be continually seeking out relevant trainings and certifications for the business. Javier is certified in both Wilderness Advanced First Aide (WAFA) and CPR-A. In 2021 he completed Canadian Style Paddling Level 1 and achieved the Basic Canoe Instructor Certification from ORCKA (Ontario Recreation Canoe and Kayak Association), allowing him to instruct and certify canoeing up to Level 4 in Ontario.
What began with just a few parks one summer has blossomed into an all-season business with eight rotating destinations. Every trip is thoughtfully researched and designed to be a blend of both activity (such as hiking, canoeing and snowshoeing) and relaxation in some of Ontario’s most beautiful natural areas. As an expat from Mexico, Javier understands the excitement and challenges of both travelling and settling into a new country and is thrilled to help create memorable outdoor experiences for all EcoAdventure participants!
Awaken your inner explorer and discover the real Ontario!
