Explore the area of Collingwood, Ontario and spend time at adorable Blue Mountain Village with Toronto EcoAdventures.
This road trip is different than others in that after arriving at Blue Mountain Village, you will have a few options on how to spend your day in the area.
First, your guide Javier will orient you to the area, showing you the best attractions and the places to buy souvenirs, restaurants, bars, spas, etc.
Then, for those who want to ski/snowboard, you will be guided through the registration/rental process at Blue Mountain and can enjoy your day on the hill! ($125 for the Newbie Package to be paid directly to Blue Mountain, includes equipment rental, beginner lesson and lift ticket).
If you’d prefer not to ski/snowboard, Javier can accompany you to the nearby Scenic Caves, where you can snowshoe ($17.50-21.50 per person, paid to Scenic Caves that day) on a beautiful path featuring a suspension bridge overlooking Georgian Bay. We offer snowshoe rentals for $12, and snow pants rental for $10.
- 8:45 a.m. Departure from Christie Subway Station
- 11:30 a.m. Arrive at Blue Mountain Village, decide whether to ski/snowboard, snowshoe at the Scenic Caves or spent time exploring the village
- 5:00 p.m. Recommended time to have dinner at a Blue Mountain Village restaurant, the group typically eats together
- 6:30 p.m. Departure towards Toronto
- 9 p.m. Arrive back at Christie Subway Station.
Do not worry, we will guide you in the process of renting your equipment! The “Newbie” package through Blue Mountain costs $104 and includes rentals, beginner lift ticket, and an all-day drop-in lesson circuit.
The “Lift + Rental” option is $128 an includes rentals and full-mountain lift ticket.
Thermal clothing, waterproof pants (extremely important if you’re going to ski/snowboard and highly recommended for snowshoeing) waterproof winter jacket, winter boots and the warmest socks you can find, an extra pair of socks in case they get wet.
